Discovered in an amateur contest, Ella Fitzgerald debuted at the Apollo Theatre NYC in 1934 and went on to became the top female jazz singer for decades. Her multi-volume “songbooks” on Verve Records are among the greatest jazz recording treasures.

Joanna Eden (‘The UK’s answer to Diana Krall and Norah Jones’ -Time Out)  returns to St. James, following her previous sell out shows with Jazz at The Movies and the magical music of Joni Mitchell. Presenting the music of Ella Fitzgerald, Joanna is accompanied by a superb quintet, featuring Julian Landymore – tenor saxophone & flute, Steve Waterman – trumpet, Chris Ingham – piano & guitar, Dave Olney – double bass & George Double – drums.
